Events and Festivals Around the New River Gorge RegionThe New River Gorge Region always has something going on. Festivals, farmer's markets, outdoor adventure, live music and theater fill each of our four seasons. Six Convention and Visitor's Bureaus provide excellent information on local lodging, activities, food and drink: The Southern West Virginia CVB (regional), The New River Gorge CVB(Fayette County), The Fayetteville CVB (the Town Of Fayetteville), Three Rivers Travel Council(Summers County),The Richwood Visitors Bureau(Nicholas County ) and The Summersville CVB(Nicholas County). The West Virginia Division of Tourism also provides a great window into the adventures available year round to the residents of the New River Gorge. OctoberNew River Gorge Bridge Day Festival: Largest one day festival in West Virginia. A one day event where pedestrians can walk across the bridge.
